Summary of dataset and variables

This dataset shows the movement of full-time equivalent fully qualified GPs by GP type between 30 September of the previous year and 30 September of the current year.

Data collection or calculation

This data shows the overall number of FTE fully qualified GPs by staff group in year 2 by the staff group the same staff were working in on the same date in year 1.

Each fully qualified GP’s GMC number is linked to data from the previous year to identify the type of GP role they held.
